Recently, we wrote about the end of MiChigo Pizza in downtown Ferndale. Now, another restaurant on West 9 Mile is closing.
M.C. ‘Wiches serves what they call “Detroit-style” subs. That meant as they described, less lettuce and more of everything else.
They opened their downtown Ferndale location in May of 2017 at 172 W. 9 Mile.
Recently they did some menu changes at their Ferndale location.
“It is with a great many mixed feelings that we announce that after 2:30 p.m. Sunday October 6th, we will be closing our Ferndale location of M.C.WICHES. While it has been a fun adventure calling downtown Ferndale home for the last 2.5 years, there were just too many unexpected challenges for us to continue,” posted founder and co-owner Patrick Hingst on Facebook.
The Oxford location will remain open at 40 North Washington and will celebrate their 10th anniversary this year.
