If you pay attention to the Joe Rogan podcast, you know he takes a pretty big interest in health. And that interest has brought a doctor and restauranteur from the Detroit area, Dr. Joel Kahn, on his show.

If you don’t know Dr. Kahn, you might know his restaurants. Beyond being a respected cardiologist, he owns the Greenspace Cafe in Ferndale as well as Greenspace & Go in Royal Oak.

He debated Chris Kresser, M.S., L.Ac who is an expert in ancestral health and paleo nutrition.

They went through a deep dive on the effects cholesterol, meat, and saturated fat on human health.

The wide-ranging — and civil — conversation between them lasted nearly four hours, in true Joe Rogan style. It got pretty fast paced and contentious in a way only two passionate health nerds moderated by a health nerd could.

At the end… the consensus? Whatever you eat, just eat real food.

We’ve embedded the video above, but if you want to listen to it, here’s a link to Rogan’s podcast page and here it is in Apple Podcasts.
