The weekend is creeping up on us, but it will soon be here. Have you made your plans yet?

Let’s get started. BTW, don’t forget it is Father’s Day this Sunday, so you still have time to plan something nice for the dads in your life.

Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the show starts at 9:00 p.m.

The Tangent Gallery/Hastings Street Ballroom is located at 715 E. Milwaukee Street Detroit, Michigan 48202

Shop and Swap Benefiting Alternatives For Girls

Ladies, do you have a lot of clothes just hanging in your closet that never get worn anymore? If you’re anything like me, I’m guessing the answer is yes.

On Saturday the Garment Gallery will be hosting a Shop and Swap event to benefit Alternatives For Girls. There will be brunch snacks and mimosas to snack on while you “shop”.

Bring all of your gently used clothes that you no longer wear to the event and you will then be able to pick out new clothes.

There will also be vendors at the event selling some of their goodies.

They are asking for a donation of $5 that will be donating to Alternatives For Girls. If you can swing more, that would be great too.

Hours: 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

The Bridge inside of the Russell Industrial Center is located at 1600 Clay Street Suite 311 Detroit, Michigan 48211

Cheese and Cocktails on Father’s Day

Our final event for the weekend is all about those dad’s who enjoy a good cocktail.

Head out to Eastern Market to The Detroit City Distillery this Sunday for their Cheese and Cocktails event.

Zack Berg from Berg’s Provisions will be there with a ton of different types of cheese that will pair great with the menu of cocktails that the bartenders will be serving up.

There will also be limited edition truffles from Gayle’s Chocolate that are made with some of DCD’s Bourbon and Rye.

Hours: 12:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

Detroit City Distillery is located at 2462 Riopelle Street Detroit, Michigan 48207
