Guess who’s back, back again. It’s your City 5! This weekend has a nice mixture of things to do. Hopefully the weather will be nicer than it was today. All this rain is for the birds.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Nothing gets me more excited for Halloween than listening to some scary stories.

There will only be four performances of this show, so be sure to pick up your tickets for one of them.

Tickets are $11 per person.

The show starts at 8:00 p.m.

Community Day: Daffodil Planting

It you are looking for something to do that will bring some beauty to Detroit in the spring then you need to head to Belle Isle this Saturday, October 14.

The Belle Isle Conservancy and volunteers will be planting 100,000 daffodil bulbs around Belle Isle.

This is a good event for groups, individuals, and families.

Bring your gardening gloves, trowel/small hand shovel and any additional garden supplies you prefer to use. They will provide the bulbs and dirt.

Volunteers will need to check in at the Paddock which is the fenced lot next to the Scott Fountain.

You can RSVP for the event on the Facebook event page. Hours: 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Harvestfest

Bring the kids down to Campus Martius this Saturday for a bit of fall fun at the Harvestfest.

There will be tons of fun things to do for children of all ages, like pumpkin painting, face painting,  a veggie car derby, and tricycle hay rides, and so much more.

What Harvest festival would be complete without a beer garden, but considering this event is for the kids it has been turned into a root beer garden. For those parents who might want something a bit stronger I hear you can head over to Parc for something leaded.

Admission is free and so are most activities. However there is a $2 fee for pumpkin painting and a $3 fee for the veggie derby.

Hours: 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Campus Martius is located at 800 Woodward Avenue, Detroit 48226
