One of the things we're committed to in 2026 is to meet up more in person. So this is the first of a series of studio open houses, happy hours and more that we're doing this year.
And we also know that often times, getting together can feel expensive.
So sometimes, we're going to throw open the doors of our podcast studio so we can sit in community together over coffee and donuts.
From an event over the summer of 2025
Here are the details:
It's at TechTown at 440 Burroughs in Detroit on Saturday, January 17 from 10a-1p to talk all things Detroit.
Was there an episode of the show you had more questions about? A story you want us to cover? We're always looking for your advice. Have questions about making a podcast, or independent media? We've been at it for more than 1,800 episodes.
Plus, meet other Daily Detroit readers and listeners! They're far more interesting than I am.
Oh, and did I mention, free coffee and donuts? Feel free to pop in or pop out any time between 10a and 1p. Look for the sign by the front door.
Please sign up on either Facebook or Eventbrite so we know how much to order.
Parking is free on Burroughs street.. or in the lot on Amsterdam, between Cass and Woodward. There's metered parking all along Second.
It's also easily accessible by the 4 Woodward and the 16 Dexter DDOT buses, as well as the FAST Woodward SMART stop that's just three blocks away by the Amtrak.
Oh, the QLINE too. You could take that.
Looking forward to Saturday the 17th! See you there.
