Rock N' Roll Sushi
Franchise owners Silvia Maruncic and Hicham Bazzi opened the first Rock N' Roll Sushi location in Michigan. Combining sushi, hibachi, cocktails, and rock and roll, metro Detroit residents can enjoy sushi with a bit of U.S.A. flair.
The restaurant opens Monday, June 22. You knock we will give the food and atmosphere a try.

Tigris
Tigris, a cocktail bar and music lounge, opened Saturday, June 20. With a custom sound system from Detroit’s Bing Audio, an eclectic vinyl library, and guest DJ sets several nights a week, this is a place to check out.
You can expect Middle Eastern‑inspired cocktails, light bites, and plenty of non‑alcoholic options, plus a daytime café vibe that shifts into an intimate cocktail bar at night. The project is a collaboration between music supervisor Fabian Halabou, Inlaws Hospitality, and Chances With Wolves’ Kenan Juska, with In Sheep’s Clothing alum Dane Majors set to run the place. Amelia Street Pizza Co.
Owner Matt Arb has a permanent home for his pizza business in Hazel Park.
Mabel Gray owner James Rigato joined Arb as a co-owner and business mentor to transition from selling at temporary events to a brick-and-mortar business. The 18 inch pizzas are made with fermented dough. The current menu prices cheese pizza pies at $24 and cheese and pepperoni at $28.
The pizzeria opened Thursday, June 18. Remember, you only can order whole pies, not slices.

Besos
Chef Matthew Kenney had the hard opening for his latest restaurant Besos in Birmingham on May 27.
The celebrity chef opened the vegan restaurant as a whole foods concept, offering seating for about 100 people.
Besos is open from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Topa
Downtown Detroit has a new rooftop bar in the Brush Park neighborhood. Opening during May 21, Topa is located on the 11th floor of the AC Hotel Detroit at the Bonstelle. Owned by the Roxbury Group, Azul Hospitality handles the day to day operations.

Buns and Patties
On May 15, Three high school friends are opening a restaurant with a menu centered around a smashburger, chicken sandwiches, and their short rib grilled cheese sandwich.
Buns & Patties' hours are 11 a.m. - 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Friday and Saturday. They are closed on Mondays.

Saroki's Crispy Chicken & Pizza
Detroit has its first Saroki's Cripsy Chicken & Pizza location, opening during May 4. Saroki's franchises offer New York style pizza and hand-battered chicken tenders across Michigan.
This location is inside Griswold Market & Spirits, a specialty market/bodega, and both businesses are owned by Bahir Mikha and Yousif Kashat.

Gul Gul Lebanese & Turkish Cuisine

A new cocktail bar "Wet Picnic" is opening in Detroit's Midtown neighborhood, this Wednesday, April 29. [Social Media]
Open in the former location of Castalia at Sfumato, Wet Picnic is open Wednesday - Thursday from 6 p.m. - 1 a.m. and Friday - Saturday 6 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Motz's Burgers
Detroit's oldest burger restaurant opened a third location in Southgate this March. Following their soft opening on March 14, owners Mike and Tony Milosavljevski had the grand opening on March 23.
Sourcing its ingredients locally, the family owned business is now offering its classic burgers, fries, and shakes to residents in the Downriver area. [First reported in Free Press]
