Look, nothing’s better than a Detroit-y gift for a loved one. And because we love to support local businesses, we’re telling you (even though it’s already started) about The Lodge.

It’s at the always interesting Detroit Mercantile Company in Eastern Market. There are more than 35 vendors along with a couple of food trucks and it has a bar that has mixologists from The Oakland Art Novelty Company? Yes please!

Oh, and if booze isn’t your style, there’s a pop-up coffeehouse as well called White Pine.

If you can’t make it out today, fear not! It’s both Saturday and Sunday at 3434 Russell Street in Detroit.

Saturday, Dec. 19 – 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 20 – 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Even better the event also raises money for 826Michigan, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students (ages 6 to 18) with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.
