There is a common theme for the events this weekend and that is music. Music has a way of bringing people from different backgrounds together. It is a universal language. The other common theme is that most of these events are family friendly. So pack up the kids and spend some time getting to know your neighbors.

Crash Detroit – Roosevelt Park

This is the third year that the Detroit Party Marching Band has put together this fun music fill weekend. Crash Detroit is a two-day party that showcases party bands from around the country.

The big event happens on Saturday at Roosevelt Park in front of Michigan Central Station. Ten street bands will perform all day in two different tents. The first performances start at 2:00 PM. There will be plenty of fun things to do for kids, like a place to make instruments and also rag time parades throughout the day.

This is a free event, however donations are always welcome.
